The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Rooney Mara, Covers Vogue November 2011

Not only has relatively unknown actress Rooney Mara (ok, so she was in The Social Network, but you know what I mean) landed the biggest acting gig of the year by being cast as The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, but she has now also landed the cover of Vogue's November issue. Shot by Mert & Marcus, no less. Amazing.
And she looks incredible. She had to have her hair cut, dyed, her eyebrows dyed, and countless piercings done - all on one day - to do the role. That takes some dedication when you are a nice looking blonde girl. She also had to lose a considerable amount of weight. Always a plus when you are being shot for Vogue. I say no more on that.
These incredible images are obviously counteracting quite a bit of the work she had to do to stay in the role. The hair is longer, the brows are back and the piercings removed, but that same ethereal mystique still exists. Incredible. Hopefull in the movie too.
