Photoshoot: Try ALL the looks!

I haven't had a model in a long time, but I was able to finally lure someone to be guinea pig for my makeup experiments :D
We did three different looks, and this was the first one:

For the eyes I used:
-Sugarpill Bulletproof (lid)
 Poison Plum (crease)
2am (blending)
Acidberry   (lower lashline)
- TBN glitters Pixie (upper lid)
 Neon Yellow (lower lashline).

The lashes are Illamasqua's most perfect lashes ever, Decadence lashes.

On the lips is MakeupGeek's lipstick Famous, and blush is Illamasqua's Morale.

Second look was much simpler, something pin-upish:

MakeupGeek eyeshadows:
Beaches and Cream
Purely Naked
Latte & Mocha

Lips:
MakeupGeek Elegant
ColorClub Red Dress lipgloss

Bluesh is Illamasqua Naked Rose

And then the final crazy look, mainly this was inspired by the wig.. :

Eyes:
Sugarpill Mochi (lid)
Velocity (crease, outer corner)
Tako (Around the eyes)
Darling (sprinkled around eyes)
Royal Sugar  (sprinkled around eyes)
Upper lashes are # 159 from Marlliss and lower lashes are Paperself lashes called Small Peonies

Lips are Illamasqua Apocalips mixed with Illamasqua Violate lipgloss.

It was so fun to do makeup and photograph again, own face can get boring after a while :D

Review & Swatches: Lime Crime Uniliners

Finally, the anticipated Lime Crime liquid liners, Uniliners, are here.
They come in seven different and some unusual shades, including orange and greeny yellow!

The package is Lime Crime's usual style, unique and fun (and this time without unicorns!), purple cardboard box with swirls, twirls and spiderwebs:

Each box is labeled with the shade's name on top:

The name of the liner is in the bottom of the container:

Available colors:
QUILL, ORCHIDACEOUS, LUNAR SEA, CITREUSE, 6th ELEMENT, BLUE MILK , LAZULI

First thoughts:

My god, they are so TINY!

I took a photo of them beside a measuring tape, both with centimeters and inches:

And a more universal measuring method, with standard-sized MAC lipstick:

As you can see, t-i-n-y.

Many of you might be upset about the price compared to the amount of the product, so I made a small comparison between a few liners and their prices:

Lime Crime Uniliner: $13,99 1.3ml / 0.04 US fl oz  = price per 10ml ~$107,62
MAC Superslick Liquid Eyeliner: $18,50 1.8 ml / 0.06 US fl oz price per 10ml ~$102.78
Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner: $23,00 1,7 ml /0.058  US fl oz  = price per 10ml ~$135,29
Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner: $19 1,7ml /0.058 US fl oz = price per 10ml  ~$111,76

Illamasqua Precision Ink: $27,50 1.8ml / 0.06 US fl oz = price per 10ml ~ $152,78

OK, it's slightly pricier than MAC (and we all know that MAC is quite pricey), but surprisingly it's cheaper than UD, MUFE or Illamasqua. Of course there are cheap brands like NYX, Milani and Wet'n'Wild, but I tried to pick products around the same amount etc here.

Liners:

Glossy black. The darkest black you've ever experienced!

The finish is very similar like in Illamasqua's Precision Ink Abyss, only this isn't as lasting as Abyss.
The staying power of Quill is the worst of the bunch. It's the only one that smudges when wiped over, even when it's dry. On my lids it stays well though, both with primer, and without primer. It's really pigmented and shiny. Not glittery, but kinda like PVC.
Personally this was the most "meh" from these liners, since you can get (even shiny) black liner from almost everywhere.

LAZULI - bright blue liquid eyeliner
Bright blue that leans slightly purple, inspired by lapis lazuli. Enhances brown eyes. Matte finish.

Lazuli is a fun color that is kinda of a mix of purple and blue. It has the tiniest purple sparkle in it, but the base color is kinda darkish electric blue. The sparkles don't appear when used, only when looked closely enough in sunlight.
Again, it's quite pigmented, with one layer it covers pretty well.  Unlike Quill, this doesn't smudge when wiped over.

ORCHIDACEOUS - violet-purple liquid eyeliner
Bright violet-purple. Matte finish.

Orchidaceous is pink-purple liner. The coverage in this isn't as good as many other Uniliners, but not bad either. Like Lazuli, this also has tiny sparkles in it, but they really don't show up when used.

LUNAR SEA - pure white liquid eyeliner
Pure, matte white.

Lunar Sea is matte true white. It's again pigmented, and looks really similar as Illamasqua's Scribe liner, though this isn't nearly as lasting. This doesn't smudge, but it's not waterproof like Scribe.
I've heard that this tends to "crack" when used over eyeshadow, and I have seen some small cracking when using this myself. Again, one layer is enough to cover well.

Pale sky-blue. Matte finish.

Blue milk is truly light blue, it reminds me of cloudless sky. It's super pigmented and super bright. Doesn't smudge.
Surprisingly this has become one of my favourite Uniliners, it's a super easy way to make a simple makeup to really pop.

CITREUSE - yellow-green liquid eyeliner
Bright, nearly neon chartreuse. Matte finish.

Citreuse is probably my least favourite color from these, mainly because I find it hard to match the color with anything. But maybe that's just me. :P
Citreuse is again pigmented, covers well with one layer, and is bright. However, even though it's bright, I find the color a bit "dirty looking" which I'm not a huge fan of. If it would be a shade more to green or yellow, it could be perfect. But that's just a matter of taste, there's nothing wrong with the product itself.

6th ELEMENT - orange liquid eyeliner
Vivid 'Fanta' orange, Leeloo would be proud! Enhances blue and grey eyes. Matte finish.

6th element was the color I was most excited about, I have a weird thing for oranges :D
The color is amazing, true bright orange, but in some cases this needs another layer of color to apply evenly.
This is the most "shimmery" of these liners, it looks kinda pearly.

Swatches:

Blue Milk, Orchidaceous
Lazuli, 6th Element
Quill, Citreuse

Lunar Sea

In sunlight:
Top row, from left to right: Lunar Sea, Quill , Lazuli, Blue Milk
lower row, from left to right: Citreuse, 6th Element, Orchidaceous

One layer over black base:
From left to right: Lunar Sea, Citreuse, 6th Element, Orchidaceous, Lazuli, Blue Milk, Quill

Demonstration of the smudgeproofness, and how Quill is the only one that really smudges (dry cotton pad):

And about the waterproofness (just water sprayed over liners):

Overall opinion:

Again, I think Lime Crime has done a good job with these. There are not many good colored liners (IMO) available, and these are quite unique colors (except Quill maybe).

I was surprised about the overall price range of the liquid liners (the "chart" mentioned earlier) and that while these are so tiny, they aren't in the top of the price chart.

Personally I would like them to be a bit more waterproof, but I know some don't like waterproof products.

Get them from Lime Crime, they ship internationally

Look done with these:

This was a review of Lime Crime's liquid liners.
This was NOT a review of the company, company's owner(s) or how they handle problems with customers or anything.
I'm aware of all the drama, and if you want to know more about it, use google or go to Ana's blog
