Have you heard Video Games or Blue Jeans, the first two hit singles by this year's answer to Adele, Lana Del Rey? I am just going to go ahead and assume you have since I know you to be hip and happening. But in case you are a bit rusty, Lana Del Rey (real name Elizabeth Grant) is the pillow-lipped, sultry, deep voiced, sensuous doe eyed beauty that has the ability to sing about love and loss with the heart of a soul singer.
And she is somewhat loved by fashion designers who have discovered her rather obvious charms, if you like that sort of thing.
And she was the subject of the best spoof fashion ad of 2011, which was for Prada and not real, but very very beautiful and utterly believable.
And has now signed for the model agency, Next, who reps Alexa Chung and Arizona Muse. So expect to see Lana/Elizabeth on the next Karl Largefeld runway singing to close the show. So not so much the next Adele as the next Florence or Lily Allen then? Interesting.
