Claire Danes in Valentino. Twice In One Night.

It is a busy time of year. Every night there are several premiers, parties, celebrations and launches. And that's just in Cape Town. Around the world it is the same, and when you are a bit popular, you have to make it to two or three events in one night. Normal people simply turn up to each in the same outfit. But on Wednesday night, the lovely actress Claire Danes (not a normal person) changed between her gigs and managed to pull of not one, but two beautiful looks. Both of which were by Valentino.

Never has the label had such a moment. Everyone is wearing it of late. The latest collection of shimmery gold is such a hit, and it is playing out solidly on red carpets everywhere. Plus the man himself launched his brilliant virtual museum this week. I am glad that Claire is giving the collection props. But I will say that I MUCH prefer the red lace to the white top on her. Just on her. Due to her long body proportions, you understand. It works absolutely beautifully on her bod. Good. Which do you prefer?
