You guys know how I love to support South African models as they carve a decisive place for themselves in the international fashion industry. Their success is our success as it stimulates interest in our local fashion industry, inspires young people to give it a go and generally makes us proud. And so it was fun to see two amazing images on the Twitter machine yesterday. The first is a casting shot of Cape Town girl. Katryn Kruger, from a go see. It is amazing that such a stunning girl who has opened Valentino and shot the Prada campaign in her first short year of business, can also look just like the girl next door. Sweet. Pretty. Nice. It's good to see.
And then there is our old friend Behati Prinsloo, Victoria Secret Angel of loveliness who often posts cute pictures on her Twitter stream. This one was taken outside a shoot she was heading to and gives us some insight into her quirky personal style. The hat, the socks, the layering. Super cool.
