Review, swatches & Tutorial: MAC Dynamic Duo

Dynamic Duo 1 is one of the 4 duo palettes MAC released in their Reel Sexy collection

It holds two unnamed shadows:

Coral with yellow pearl (veluxe pearl)
and Clean purple (matte)

Swatches:

Peachy color is easily duped with MAC's Melon pigment, they are not identical, but close. I didn't  find any dupes for the purple with quick search, Vibrant Grape is much colder and more purple, Burned Burgundy much darker etc.

The peachy shadow is easy to work with, it blends well and all. The matte purple isn't. I had hard time swatching it, because it was hard to get any color out of it. However, it works on lid much better!

Great duo to own, colors fit together very well.

Here's a small wearable tutorial with this palette!

Start with priming your lid and then adding the peachy shadow to 2/3 of your lid:

Then apply the purple to outer corner & crease:

Take blending brush and blend the purple:

Mix some peach to the purple with blending brush:

Apply highlighter (any light color you prefer, gold-toned would be the best):

Apply a hint of black shadow to outer corner to bring more depth:

Blend well, and then apply purple for lower lashline:

Draw quite thick black lining halfway to the lid:

Blend with black shadow:

Line your waterline with black, add some black to lower lashline too:

Add mascara:

And add falsies if you prefer, and look is finished!
