Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, in Black Lace Temperley London

At the Royal premier of the new Steven Spielberg movie, War Horse, held last night, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, wore a stunning, floor-length, black lace dress with a nude underlay by Temperley London - designed by Alice Temperley.
This is not Kate's first Temperley rodeo, having worn the lable several times in the past. But it is her first formal evening affair, and it was a triumph. Of course the lace scalloped neckline reminded me of her wedding dress and that brought some happiness. And the velvet ribbon waistband was a beautiful touch - one that she picked up on in her clutch. Fitted to perfection, this was weather-appropriate, occasion-appropriate and totally on the mark for style. Well played K-Middy. Again.
