Photoshoot: Panda-Diablo III

'ola!
I have tons of posts queued, gazillion pictures ready, but the text is lacking, I just haven't found any time to write any posts, and I'm really sorry for that.
You, my readers, are the reason I'm having my blog, so I feel bad that I can't post all the time.
I have suffered from severe depression for over ten years, and sometimes it unfortunately affects my blogging. I just can't find motivation to write, especially when there has been a long break, and I have to break the blog silence with something. I don't want the post to be too boring, but something that would be worth the wait.
I know most of these feelings and thoughts are only inside my head, but there's where they matter to me.
I just want to apologize and ask you to bear with me.

But after this non-makeup related information, the Diablo III look.

Panda from Piece of Panda blog was going to Assembly (it's a Finnish demoscene and gaming event) and she wanted something geeky for her makeup.
After some pondering, we decided to go with Diablo III look, inspired by this pic:

Here's the design I made:

And here's the final result:
Sugarpill Bulletproof, Lime Crime Fly Dragon Fly, Sugarpill Goldilux and Eye Kandy Cosmetics Banamarama and Candy Apple glitters

Photography & Makeup: Jangsara

After I did this look, I got a request to do a look inspired by character from Diablo, called Magda (or Maghda, I'm not sure):

Here's my original design based on that picture:

The result was something a bit different:

I used mainly Manly 120 palette and Lime Crime eyeliners.

Random collection of nerdy looks

Most (?) of you have probably seen these looks already on my Facebook page, but I'm gonna be a bad person now and share these looks here in my blog, too. :P
Let's start with the Mass Effect inspired:

I used Sugarpill Velocity, Bulletproof, Flamepoint and Tako (and hint of Buttercupcake I guess) and Lime Crime Uniliners Quill & Lunar Sea.

Next was another gamer look, but of a "bit" older game, Pacman!

...wakka-wakka-wakka-wakka-wakka-wakka-wakka-wakka-wakka-wakka..

Lime Crime Lotus Noir and Lime Crime liners: Lazuli, Citreuse, Blue Milk,Orchidaceous and 6th Element.

 Then off to the movies!

The Coolest Monster, Alien:

Black & neon-yellow glitter, black shadow, white liner, yellow liner :D

Then I was asked to do a batman look, so I went to Adam West's batman:

120 color palette & gold glitter.

Then I went all Nolan and a did more serious re-make of batman:

Sugarpill Bulletproof, Tako & Lumi, Lime Crime Lunar Sea liner and various Eye Kandy Cosmetics glitters

And to have some fun I did a Stitch look!
Done with Sugarpill Velocity, 2am & Mochi and black & white liner

Is there any character you'd like me to do? Let me know in comments and I might get inspired to do your suggestion! :D

Photoshoot: Piece of Panda

At Lush's Emotion Brilliance event I met some Finnish bloggers (thanks you girls, it was so much fun!), and one of them was supercute T from Piece of Panda blog.
We started to think ideas for makeup and photoshoot with her, and here's some pics I took of her :)

The first look was light and glowy and bright and fun:

For Panda's eyes I used Lime Crime Coral of the Story on lid, Sugarpill Flamepoint on crease and Illamasqua Breathe on browbone, with Marliss#159 lashes.
I wanted to get something special to the look, so I also used some bright and orange rhinestones.

The second look we made was darker, more rock:

She saw my old photos where I had done a Lady Gaga look for my friend J, and she also wanted to get the huge hairbow:

I used Sugarpill Bulletproof on lid, blended it with Sugarpill 2am, and again used Illamasqua's Breathe for highlighter. To the middle of the lid I added some Eye Kandy Confetti glitter to bring a bit of sparkle.
Lashes are Sugarpill Dreamy false lashes.
For the lips I chose Lime Crime Chinchilla.

Special mention of the awesome jewellery Panda had:

The edgy earrings, necklace and ring were from Glitter, as well as the feather/skull scarf she used.

Tutorial: Little Miss Jangsara

One of my readers, Starla, asked me to do a tutorial of Amelia Arsenic's Little Miss Militia look:

http://destroyx.com/2010/12/22/makeup-mayhem-little-miss-militia/ - Check out to see what she used for her original look and check her out anyway, she's pretty awesome!

I decided to use as much Sugarpill products as possible, and I didn't want to cut any of my falsies, so my version isn't exactly the same as hers, but I think it's still quite close:

First I started with the contact lens. Mine is UV-blue from foureyez.com, because they were the closest I had:

Next I did the brow with black pencil:

Then I applied white base (NYX jumbo Pencil Milk & Sugarpill Tako), and added a line to point where the eyeliner goes:

Next I used black shadow (Sugarpill Bulletproof) to sketch the shape of the eyeshadow:

Then some more black shadow (SP Bulletproof) to add more shape:

Then I used a black gel liner to shape the edges, and also added the line for lower lashline.
OPTIONAL: I used Sugarpill Lumi to blend the black a bit, you may use this if you don't have any glitters:

Next I applied Eye Kandy Cosmetics Confetti glitter to the transition point between black and white:

Then I added some more black and white to make the look more balanced:

Then I used a black gel liner (MAC blacktrack) to line my upper lashline:

I added a small amount of Sugarpill Absinthe to lower inner corner (Sugarpill Acidberry suits also well!):

And finally I added lashes, Sugarpill Flutter lashes on upper lashline and Sugarpill Porcelain lashes on lower lashline. If you want, you can cut the lower lashes to match the original look better.

Annnnnnnnd it done!

Pair with red lips (Illamasqua Sangers), light skin and bold attitude!

Funny enough, I found out today that I'm apparently nominated  for the Cosmopolitan Established beauty blog award!

Tutorial: Maleficent

The bad guy we love to hate, Maleficent <3
I wanted to include the "horns", black, purple and the awesome flames to the makeup, and I think it came out pretty good.

I had the inspiration of doing this late at night, so I didn't do more than one eye, no full-face looks this time, sorry.

First start with priming your lid:

Then take your favourite liner and sketch the outlines of the Maleficent's "horn":

Apply black to whole lid (Sugarpill Tako  Bulletproof):

Blend the black with dark purple (Sugarpill Poison Plum):

Blend the dark purple with lighter purple (Sugarpill 2am):

Apply highlighter under the brow (Sugarpill Tako):

Then use white liquid liner (Lime Crime Lunar Sea) to draw some shape to the horn

Next the flames. I used ModelsOwn neon green pencil to shape the flames:

Then I added Sugarpill Acidberry and Buttercupcake over the pencil:

And finally added TheBodyNeeds Enchanted & Neon Yellow glitters (attached with Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy):

I wanted even more glitter, so I added a glitter liner to outer half of lid, using Pixie Epoxy and Grimas Polyglitter #061:

I added mascara and Sugarpill Daydreamer lashes:

And wohoo, the look is done!
